Gotta honestly say I have never really used either tow/haul or Sport mode (let alone advanced Sport). I absolutely love that even in regular "D" I can hit the +/- to down shift going down steep side roads. We have a 16' Fusion that starts down shifting when you apply the brakes, kind of like tow/haul mode I believe does, but it is annoying in the car because it is programmed to aggressive IMO. Back to the subject....I'll have to check these Sport modes out. Thanks for the Intel!!
I rarely use the Sport mode, but I use the Tow mode all the time. The truck "behaves better" on the uphill leg of trips to town (town is ~~ sea level, while home is ~~ 2400').
Putting it into Tow mode ensures that I am 1 gear lower when going through steep, tight turns on the mountain road. On the downhill, I don't use Tow mode, but merely use the +/- to lock out upper gears to improve engine braking.

Sport mode does basically the same thing but don't move the throttle and push the button one more time and it will actually accelerate when it shifts to Sport. It also keeps you in a lower gear than normal drive mode.
Tried sport mode yesterday. The throttle response was better. But, on the freeway, 70 mph was 2100 rpm rather than the normal 1750! That's a killer for gas mileage. Jag

It's because you were still in a lower gear. Should have shifted by 65 or 70.
Drive for a couple of hours in Sport Mode just like Tow/Haul or regular mode. Sport mode is like a close ratio 4 speed.stick. For fun lock out low gear and start in 2nd with the Manual mode. Thas really fun, just remember to shift button. Sport mode costs about a 1 1/2 mile per gallon but is fun especially in traffic or if on i state with strong head/cross winds.
I love the Sport Tune, its got some grit ! The F150 is really Fast in Sport Mode ! Note only that the sport truck is a one thousand one; one thousand two stop: at 65 Mph.

+1
When I'm on the on-ramp, and the traffic merge looks like it's going to be gnarly, I give the mode button a couple of taps so I can get to matching speed with a minimum of fuss. My DW almost invariably mutters "Whoa!"
