Does anyone feel any performance difference in Advanced Sport Mode? Seems like the only performance differences are controlled by the "engine" Sport mode controlled with the Tow/Haul button. The buttons on the dash that do the "Advanced sport" mode just remove the electronic nannies.
It's not "Advanced Sport" mode. The message on the console says "AdvanceTrac Sport Mode". Not clear what it is actually doing.

What Advanced sport track does is raises the thresholds at which roll stability control and Advance Track start working to give a more sporting result, I believe what Sport mode does is remap the shift points and the throttle map, almost a factory tune, so that the engine and fans feel more responsive.
I deleted it because the chart didn't show up but I guess it did. I also posted this.
Electronic Stability Control
The system enhances your vehicle’s ability
to prevent skids or lateral slides by
applying brakes to one or more of the
wheels individually and, if necessary,
reducing engine power.
Roll Stability Control
The system enhances your vehicle’s ability
to prevent rollovers by detecting your
vehicle’s roll motion and the rate at which
it changes by applying the brakes to one
or more wheels individually.
Traction Control
The system enhances your vehicle’s ability
to maintain traction of the wheels by
detecting and controlling wheel spin.
Was driving down the highway today and thought I'd play around some. Had the gauges as shown below, and specifically showing the instantaneous fuel mileage. Was on level ground holding 67 MPG and showing about 23 MPG. Switched to Tow/Haul and nothing changed. But, when I went to Sport the MPG readout dropped to just under 20 MPG. However, then the speed started climbing slightly w/o any change on the throttle, so I had to back off a bit. I think that when I settled in at 67 MPH again the MPG was closer to 20 than the 23 shown. However, I did find that the throttle was very sensitive in Sport mode and the MPG readout varied much more than when in Normal mode, so it was difficult to get a good reading.
I also noticed that the truck felt more responsive. Which corresponds with the throttle being more sensitive and the MPG readout changing rapidly.
Anyway, try it and let us know what observations you have.
I love switching to Sport mode while going up a freeway on ramp. There's something primal about feeling the programming kick in and the truck speed up w/o changing the throttle position that's just awesome.
Someone mentioned that the truck won't go into 6th gear until closer to 70mph and that's been my experience. Did your truck kick down to 5th? Even if it didn't, I'm not surprised the MPGs dropped. I think the truck gets more aggressive with fuel, so it might be running richer.
Mine stayed in 6th. I've been told that EFI doesn't change the air/fuel ratio, but I don't know that's true. Perhaps I should put my scanner on and check?

Looks like it doesn't. I'm chilling in a parking lot waiting for a kid to finish a class. I've been scrolling between normal, tow and sport and the GPH on my scangauge isn't changing.

Maybe. I thought parking lots are for parking. So, how fast did you get going in that lot?
LOL. I had it floored. Just ran burnouts while I toggled modes.
Noooo. I was just idling. Started monkeying with the HVAC and other loads to see how it impacted the GPH rate. I'd say normal idle is around .45-50gph. Cutting everything out or adding A/C can swing it +\- .05. I'd have expected the GPH to drop if the program included more fuel. I guess unless there's some overriding code for when parked
