Already stopped by 4 dealers on way home from dropping kids with their mom. Will be making calls in morning and hopefully shoring up a deal by end of the week.
Family has been purchasing from this dealership for close to 30 years. I have bought 3-4 vehicles from them and countless others from other dealers. Generally don't like dealing with them, just trying to give them a chance to win my business back. My wife uses them, she has the patience, I'll go elsewhere
So I will take that as a round-about no. If you don't like dealing with them, then why give them your money? That being said, if I were in your shoes, which I was....I would be up front with them if they were up front with me. I would lay it out on the line and draw the line in the sand. You will be able to tell pretty quickly if they are blowing wind up your butt as there are enough people on this board who know EVERYTHING there is starting at KTP and ending with the truck being delivered.
Not sure what part of Texas you are in but I was visiting family a few weeks ago in San Antonio. Just north up I-10 wife and I went looking at 2017 Super Dutys. I was surprised they had a number of them.
Tired of the wait, now looking at end of December for delivery. I don't have faith that the truck will be here by then to take advantage of tax write-off.
If there are any dealers in the south central to east Texas area with a 250/350 with lariat or king ranch ultimate package, long bed, power stroke, 4x4, spray bed liner in white gold, blue jean or caribou send me a message. I'm ready to go.
Owner (who is a local rancher) is there and you can see and talk to him, in fact he will talk to you first, its just a boots and jeans dealer who sells the hell out of Super Duty's
After shopping hard 5 dealers I bought there for STRAIGHT talk, no BS, no run around, the Sales guy (Matt) can do the deal!
yeah the worst time of the wait for me was when I knew my truck was at our railyard, waiting for transport to the dealer.
That was the worst time for me also, especially when I would see mine at the rail yard not moving, and it only had to go 30 miles to the dealer. But finally received it. overall, my order experience was really good, first time I have ever done it. I would do it again.

That is my kind of dealer! I know of them from years ago when I lived down in the Texas Hill Country.

I bought my 2017 F450 platinum from McLane ford of Fredericksburg and my experience was awesome. It was the best experience I have had in a long time. My sales persons name is Felipe. The owner is really nice and the whole staff was awesome.
Congrats on finding your truck. I did the exact same thing, found a dealer ordered in transit. It arrived at the rail port 20 miles away Friday...waiting for a transport truck to haul it over to the dealer...I'm starting to get the shakes and pace back and forth. I HATE waiting, hate it hate it hate it. Well I'm off to obsessively check my email every 5 minutes.......
