We're most envious when we read 'bout those of you who either have info on your 2017 SuperDuty or may even have it set'n in your drive already. We just can't seem to get by the VCO (Vehicle Confirmation Order) stage. Even a VIN would give us some hope that our 14 JUL order is in the system. We've heard the rumors that if you've ordered a long bed or a 6.2L gasser or a 4.3 rear end with a 4x4 or an XLT SuperCab or all of the above as we did, that your vehicle is @ the back of the line. In '09 we ordered our current F150 XLT 4x4 Flareside SuperCab & took delivery in 32 days (from order date to dealership). We were spoiled for sure & knew better this time but after 3 months not even a VIN. Frustrated & disappointing but glad to know that some of you are experiencing better results. We've heard that patience is a virtue but it's get'n a little thin @ this point. 'Njoy your 2017 & maybe we'll be able to do the same in the next couple weeks (or months!!). Plz do keep posting them pics of your 2017 SD so we know they are being delivered.

Ford got a bit behind. I had a guy that ordered in August, and the order just got picked up last week. So your sorta build should be coming soon. Fridays are good days to check with your dealer as Thursday is the day things change in Ford's system.
Is the common thread here that Ford isn't produce'n any long beds yet??
Nope. Friday they were running low on seats. They axed their last supplier and started with a new one this year over costs. Last I heard they were getting buckets at Horrendous Despot and covering them with leftover Fiesta material. New seats will be in the mail next summer.

I did not mean to sound short or flippant earlier. Welcome to the forums and I am sure your order will be coming through soon. If you are lucky you will get a build date as soon as mine, or even earlier!! What good is life if you can't have at least a little fun.

Our dealer just got an email from Ford about our F350 XLT order we placed on labor day. Adaptive steering as a seperate option (60A) is no longer available on the XLT and must be removed before our truck can be built.

The new shipment of Bucket Seats did finally come in......
I would double check about the adaptive steering on XLT. I ordered F250 XLT 6.2 LBCC 4x4 on aug 20th. Order Picked up sept 15th and vin # 1FT7W2B61HEC01351 issued on October 13th. Build date about November 14th With a ETA of about December 10th. I ordered it with the lane departure/ adaptive steering package and I've heard no such thing.

We ordered the adaptive steering as a seperate option. Our dealer read the email from Ford to me and it is very clear that adaptive steering as a seperate option is no longer available. I have changed my original post to reflect this.
Adaptive steering is still available in the driver's assistance package, which requires the xlt premium package. These two packages have a total MSRP of about $4000 vs the $675 MSRP on adaptive steering only. We don't have the budget for thousands of dollars in options we don't need.
