Chrome Door Handles

Looking at chrome door handles and all I see are covers. Didn't any F250s come with actual chrome handles? If so, which ones?

No trucks came with actual chromed metal handles. Trucks that came with the chrome package from the factory came with plastic chrome covers glued over the factory black handles. There were a few aftermarket companies that made custom billet handles. No idea if they still make them but if I remember right they were very expensive.

So, does anyone have experience with the stick on chrome? How is the fit? Just seems like it would be bulky or come loose with the constant pulling of the handle.

A friend had the factory chrome covers on his 2012 f250. Fitment was really good and they didn't look bulky at all but after 4 years the chrome was pitting bad and they looked like crap so we took them off.

gonna try some off ebay. Its the only guy i can find that has levers only, like the platinum, i think the whole thing in chroe looks gaudy. Just 3m adhesive so if they get bad looking i ll just remove them.

-LMC Truck sells the covers and they also sell actual chome handles. Part # 49-7435
Truck Parts and Truck Accessories

You can also look into billet door handles, but they get a bit more expensive.

I personally would like to get the Platinum handles from Ford, but I don't know the price.

Cowl ends are 9.00 on eBay for both sides, in the U.S.A. for quick shipping. Paint all the window trim and pillars glossy but the rest is fine matte black. Old thread I know but it’s for those people that just bought one that’s been well taken care of like I did. The only reason mine could use some black is because I washed it to death in 2 months time. Trying to get the pain shiny again and I did. The cowl ends in China are only 3.00 a set of 2

Chrome veneers over black plastic. No part of the handle is metal besides the internal mechanisms.

I feel bad... All along, I thought they were quality genuine chrome metal door handles... Sniff, Sniff, Sniff....

Some paint chipped off and underneath you could see what looks like Budweiser... Hehehe

Even Ford wouldn't do something as tacky as chrome door handles on these pigs.
