getting ready to install the trim that goes around my door panel, noticed one of my doors don't have the holes for the trim(not original door for this truck), what kind of bumps didn't come with the holes for the trim around the door panel? also the other door has the trim for the bottom of the door but no holes on the bump for that trim, what would the reason be for that?
what year is your bump.? my 67 base model custom cab has the trim that goes around the door panel. also the stainless trim for the windshield but nothing around the back glass.some say that a factory two tone paint job should have trim that goes from around the back of the cab to give a brake between the two colors. mine is two tone but does not have trim. maybe a friday truck just before quitting time put on what ever you have and call it good.

1967/69 Standard Cabs & 1970/72 Customs were "bare bone price leader" strippers, usually did not come with upholstered door trim panels.
1967/69 Custom Cabs, 1967/72 Rangers, 1970/72 Sport Custom and Ranger XLT's all came with upholstered door trim panels.
NumberDummy my 67 custom cab does not have any upholstery on the metal door panels just a window handle a door lock handle a arm rest and the trim that goes around the outer edge of the door.
thanks for the feed back, my bump is a 68 ranger XLT however the doors are from a donor truck and driver side didn't have any holes for the trim around the door panel, the passenger side door has the trim clips at the exterior bottom but not holes on the bump for trim. i'm sure my truck is suppose to have the chrome trim around the rear window but at this time just going to have standard gasket for rear. front window has chrome trim. i have taken some liberties with paint on the interior because this will be a daily driver(9 months a year, too much salt on roads for michigan winters)
I believe you could have laid the two panels face to face as a templet to drill holes to add the panel door trim.
My doors on my custom body style has the inner door hole drilled for the trim in the door frames, but just plane panels with no trim on the outer panels.
I was thinking about adding the trim but most is messed up in the junk yards so have not done it.
my door panel has the holes in it, it's just the door itself that needs to be drilled out and it's only the driver side door that has no holes, i'd like to also take the id(vin) plate from the original door and install it on the donor door, any tricks to that? thanks
