What I wound up doing is just putting that 3-way fitting on the output end of the Hydrovac and running a single straight line from the master cylinder to the Hydrovac input. That eliminated that 5-way fitting altogether. My situation is very tight quarters so I'm limited on what I can do.

bob thanks for clearing this up. now i can plumb the rest of my brake lines. i will have to install it on the master cylinder, since my hydrovac outlet is 1/4 inverted thread. next part will be the vaccum hook up. i got the old piping. i read that the hose needs to go up from carburator 8 to 10 inches. do i need a check valve ! and i suppose you need some stiff hose to hook all that together. you wouldn,t want the hose to collaspe.

The Gates 5-ply OEM type vacuum hose is impossible to get even tough it's listed in their catalogs. Nobody stocks it. And the cheezy automotive 2- ply vacuum hose crushes slightly. What I used was 300 psi rated 3-ply 1/2" air hose. Seems to work fine with no deflection or loss of vacuum. Yes, you need a hose jumper from the manifold to the steel tubing for fatigue, and there should be a check valve mounted on the firewall. Do you have a two-speed differential?

i noticed that the check valve was built in the 2 speed selector. i took apart the 2 speed selector and block it. i was thinking of installing the check valve by the hydrovac . i got to figure out which port is exhaust and which one is vaccum.

I had mine re-built, actually it was exchanged for a rebuilt one. I will try to locate the builder for you.

The exhaust port will be the one with the filter on it, and be the larger of the two.

got it all plumbed and bleed , but got a leak a brake switch. i got another switch i had order by mistake the plastic is red,i hope its better. i didn,t install the vaccum lines yet i,m still not sure which one the exhaust. i used a 1/2 wrench to measure diameter of the ports and they look alike !

Not sure if this helps, but the exhaust is the one that slips over a tube and goes up inside the cab. The vacuum line has a threaded fitting. This is an older pic, the lines have been changed since.
