NEEDING NEW/REBUILT BENDIX HYDROVAC UNIT
The Hydrovac went to leaking internally and when it would sit and then be started it would pull out alot of White Smoke as it burned off the brake fluid through the vacuum circuit.
Had it rebuilt by a rebuild shop, but it still does not have any power assist to speak off and it had been rebuilt before I owned the truck by the same shop.
Would like to find another unit or NEW unit if there would be one on the shelf somewhere?
Any help on this would be appreciated or recommendations on a reputable repair shop who can bench test these as well......
There are two different P/B boosters. Since there are two different steering gearboxes, that shouldn't surprise you!

B7T2005A .. P/B Booster-10.00" O/A diameter / Manufacturer: Midand-Ross / Model number: XC-462-H
C1TT2005E .. P/B Booster-12.75" O/A diameter / Manufacturer: Bendix / Model number: 2501001.
Since there are two different boosters, there are two different repair kits.
Finding the repair kit may be possible, the booster less so. All these parts have long been obsolete.
The problem with rebuilding an old booster is...the new parts are old. Ozone in the air, humidity play a major factor in condition of rubber parts.
The new diaphram may be hard as rock and age cracked. How long will it last after being installed?
What will be the condition of a new booster's diaphram, or a diaphram in one of the Ford repair kits?
btw: I did look at the parts catalog pic of the brake system. Some trucks have a cylindrical vacuum tank, with lines running every which way.
If you have this setup, the tank and/or the hoses may be defective, causing loss of brake pressure.
I have the BENDIX BOOSTER:
C1TT2005E .. P/B Booster-12.75" O/A diameter / Manufacturer: Bendix / Model number: 2501001.
Any reputable repair shops who can rebuild these type of boosters?
I haven't had a Hydro-Vac rebuilt (for a Ford...or Studebaker) since the 1970's.
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has the booster.
