Did the park brake on a 1973 F-250 have an indicator warning light that came on when the Park brake was applied? If so where was the switch located? I have a Manual Transmission and I do Use the park brake often and want to eliminate drive-in off with the park brake on.
I know my 77 doesn't. It does have a red brake light on the dash that comes on when it senses that the brake pressures aren't at the correct ratio, which means you have a brake issue. I don't know about a 73 tho.
X2 on NO 73-79 trucks did not come with a indicator light when the park brake is on. That is a new vehicle ism...I would try the link/product that redmt79 sent you. FYI it is for 66-77 smaller Bronco's though, not full size 78/79 Bronco's.
And do NOT mess with that red "Brake" warning light set up on your dash. That light is wired to your brake proportional valve and is suppose to light up when you 1st start the truck to do a circuit test, and then go out.
If should only come any other time if you have a major failure of you brake system. Like a blown line/lean in the sealed system and the floating piston inside moves to trip the light.
A actual brake pedal switch modded to work on the park brake would be a route to try, just wire it to a separate added on light.
