I'm in the process of doing a frame off on my 77 supercab. All I have left to get off is the cab (not including the front fenders). My plan is to build a cart for the cab to sit on so I can move it around out of the way as I work on other parts of the truck. I want to use neumatic tires as its getting close to snowing up here in washington. Anyone have a rough estimate on cab weight for a bare supercab (no doors, seats) so I can look for a set of casters that will handle the load.
It's probably not as much as you think, probably around 400 lbs. give or take.
Here's a thread that I posted on the subject a couple of years ago. Post #27 discusses the Supercab. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-answered.html

Thanks for the help mike! Much lighter than I expected.

Stripped down they're relatively light.
Here are some pictures of the carriers I made for my project (regular cab). I had to move mine around on grass so I used pneumatic tires too. I got them from Harbor Freight. Originally I had casters only on one end, do yourself a favor, put swiveling casters on all four corners. Makes life easier.
The long one is for the bed.
Was already planning on going with the 4 pivoting casters (neumatic) but having at least 2 locking so I can get it out my garage door straight. Thanks again for the help Mike, I'll be going to pick up the casters today
