Cab removal

I was wondering if anybody lifted a cab off 73-79 ford truck. Can it be don with couple guys or what? And does anyone know roughly how much a cab weigh? Thanks

complete cab, around 500.

A completely stripped cab is 317 lbs.

EASY. Just lifted my Crew Cab off with me and 3 other guys and it was nothing. I'd 2 man it but I'm young and dumb so maybe a couple more guys.

Lifting with 2 guys and lifting and moving it with 2 guys is a different deal.A good ,heavy straight lift can be done a lot of times but try stumbling around with the load. I always remember the time 4 of us had to move a slate pool table!! Somehow in the initial lifting process 3 guys got all the way up to one end with little ol' me alone down on the other! I lifted,held,but couldn't move a step because of the extreme weight. You get the picture. Many hands make light work.gary
