Would anyone have a guess as to how much a '77 Supercab (just the cab) would weigh?
I am planning on picking up a replacement cab soon and must transport it around 1300 miles, planning on putting 2 stacks of wood pallates in the bed of my F150 so there is about 1 pallate thickness above the sides of the bed, then putting the cab on top of the pallates, & strapping it down. Thanks!! Rick
I've never weighed one, but my guess is near 1,000 pounds fully dressed with doors, and complete interior.
We are speaking about a SUPERCAB here, not a regular cab.
Anyone else want to venture a guess??
I had thought about swaying too up that high, but if it only does weigh around 500 pounds, that would be ok, knowing that some campers stick up higher than the cab would, plus I have great 6 ply tires, and a set of full length overload springs that are adjustible.
Yes, there are other cabs out there, I'm trying to look at 1 in Arkansas right now, waiting on a guy to send me some pictures, plus there is anouther '77 Supercab out there elsewhere in Arkansas in a junkyard.
I can't believe that there aren't more available that are rust free, I have offered some pretty big money for the right one, and so far no one has produced.
