Smile WooHooo!!! - Brake lights

I did some searching here the past day or so and was able to fix my partially working brake lights. I found a post where someone said what the continuity was supposed to be in the tail light socket and I was not getting continuity to ground. Another post was going on for 2 or 3 pages and finally somebody said just replace the tail light socket already. I took that same advice. Now I have perfectly working tail lights, brake lights, hazards, etc. Woo hoo!

As a side fix I have had a dash panel blinker light that has been partially working. After some reading and talking to my brother I had decided that it was a bad circuit on the dash panel....but that is not correct. After changing out the tail light socket the blinker light is now working.

Does that count as 2 fixes?

Congratulations.
Sometimes the more frustrating a problem is to diagnose, the simpler the fix is when you figure it out.

I'd say it counts as at least 4! "perfectly working tail lights, brake lights, hazards, etc." AND the dash turn signal indicator

Great work - have a beverage
