I just replaced mine and yes 96 lb/ft is correct. Mine had a white paint mark....that's a QC mark to ensure it was torqued at factory
Hey, you just replace yours and I was wondering if that's a better way to go then just replace the non-serviceable plug which is what I think is leaking. I've only got 125K on mine and only use it to pull my 5th wheel. What's your thoughts and what was the cost of yours?
I hear ya. With a 1/2 drive torque wrench you wont have to turn it much and it clicks. I did not have to hold the engine either....went right on without moving at all. just make sure the drive gear is flush to pump...easy to get it ****-eyed which will result in a no start
I did the Adrenaline (689$ + 250$ core charge) and I really like it. Fit and finish was top notch and I can really tell a difference in how it drives. I did not do the T500 because you have to send yours in to have it rebuilt so your down for a week or so....I can't go without my truck for more than a weekend.
Mine was leaking from a line fitting, rear pug and plate and the NSP.....I had so much opil leaking it was dripping off my rear differential

No, what I was wondering was if replacing the whole pump is a better idea, and what your new or rebuilt one cost you.
see my post above...we are walking on each other I elected to replace mine due to age/miles and the fact I want to upgraded my injectors next year or so. My plan is to always go with an upgraded part when I can

You can tell the difference? How so? And what is the advantage of the T500?
lots of discussions on what is better T500 vs. Adrenaline. I chose the Adrenaline for the turnaround time and reputation.
I can tell the idle is better, starts faster and seat-of-the pants meter tells me it pulls harder. Driveability around town (i.e. throttle response is much better) IMO
Advantage of T500 is cost only I think...others may say otherwise

I saved over $200 (Terminator T500 HPOP) compared to the Adrenaline and it was my pump that was used for the upgrade. I'm sure that there's a minimum standard for cores to be used for either but I know that my pump was in good condition and was well cared for which gave me peace of mind that I knew I was getting a good pump in return. My truck was down for other problems and I already had alternate transportation set up so the turn around time was not a problem.
I was down to either the T500 or Adrenaline before I had other engine issues (forcing me to park it) and would have been happy with either. I liked the price and the thought of having my own pump upgraded. If down time would have been an issue then I would probably have gone with an Adrenaline.

So did you notice any performance increase or is it more like when I change my oil, I think the truck goes faster!
I fixed 4 oil leaks along with it so the whole truck perked up. It definitely feels stronger now, from idle to WOT. I've still got the original sticks at 295K so there's only so much it can do but it feels stronger throughout. It did idle a little rougher so I changed my CPS and it smoothed out. I had the dark blue CPS for some time which seemed to run better than my black one. I had a grey one as my spare in case the dark blue one became an issue. Once I fixed my oil leaks and got the T500 the truck didn't seem too happy at idle. I swapped in my grey one and things have been hunky dory since.
Part numbers for the CPSs if you are interested:
Black CPS P/N: F7TZ-12K073-A (discontinued)
Grey CPS P/N: F7TZ-12K073-B (for the 99-03 7.3L)
Dark Blue CPS P/N: F4TZ-12K073-C (for the 95-97 7.3L)

Actually, I thought because of air in the lines, the truck was supposed to run rough for a 100 miles or so after changing out the HPOP. But thanks for the CPS info anyway. I know there have been some problems with them and I carry a spare and 10mm wrench in my toolbox.
This was after that. I gave it a tank of fuel (~425 miles) to work itself out and settle down before making any adjustments. I always give it about a week after major repairs (or cracking open an oil or fuel system) for things to work itself out before I start meddling with things. The tank took about a week and that's when I decided to try a different CPS and it solved my issue. The dark blue one for the OBS seems to have offset some of the issues I had but once I made all the repairs it just didn't "feel right". I made the change and, luckily, it seems to have quelled the issue.
