I have a question about installing the "T" fitting for the boost gauge. I am sure I am doing something wrong but I insert the black boost line from the gauge into the brass fitting (that screwed onto the nylon "T" and when I tighten the brass nut down, the boost line still slides out.????. Am I not tightening it enough? I don't want to crush anything......any ideas???
Well, I layered the boost line with some teflon tape for a temporary fix. Is there supposed to be some sort of a adapter that goes on the boost (I think it is also called a capillary) line prior to being inserted into the brass fitting??
Normlly there is a brass tube that fits inside the plastic / nylon tubing. The brass tubing supports the plastic tubing when the nut is tightened down.
Thumper, there are two parts to the compression nut. First slide the compression nut on the line and then slide the compression ferrule, which is a tapered tubelike part, on the line. It fits inside the compression nut. Very small, check your package good. Can probably be found at hardware store. Good luck, Carroll Allison
