Sanderson Headers?

Need some assistance guys. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Sandersons "block hugger" headers on a 78-79 250 4x4? I'm not talking about their shorties but the block huggers. Ive searched until my eyes where bleeding and way past the drinking limit. Summit has them listed for our trucks...or is it a ruse?

How is the fitment, quality (im guessing good since its sanderson), pros cons ect. ect.

Thanks guys

Can't speak for a 78-79 truck but I have them on my 76 highboy and they are awesome. Very good craftmanship and customer service. I got them specifically beacuse i didnt want to deal any bull woth undoing motor mounts and jacking up half the motor or cutting and rewelding nonsense. I wamted a direct fit and they definitely are for my application. They were the single biggest power upgrade for my 410 FE. Really opened it up. Sounds like a drag car now amd shoots flames like 18in long because i have no exhaust on it.

Like i said i cant speak for the 351-400 motors but they fit amaing in my truck. Granted the starter has about an 1/8 in. clearance so mini-starters are recommended to avoid heat soak but i have been running mine with an oem starter and its been fine so far. Sanderson quality is definitely there

The Sandersons are very nice. I have a set for my 390 on a '73 2WD Camper Special. I have a couple pics in the following thread:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-build-11.html

These aren't for a 4WD, but do hug the block closely. They are expensive, but is worth if for the piece of mind that they will fit up, the first time. Mine are coated.
