Hey'' All,
Have a question on hedders for my 65cc Restomod''
The engine is a 351w P/S P/B front disc's The hedders were put on by the po, and it looks as tho he did a little Sled hammer work to get them to fit?
They are longtube and I want to get the same, as I have a new exaust form the hedder back'' ...don't really want to go with shorty's unless I have too?..I want Ceramic coat''...any Idea's on a dirrect fit replacement?
Thanks in advance for any help!!
I would be willing to bet that a set of headers from a mid 70s truck will work for you. as their isnt a whole lot of differences in the frames from 65-79.
Best bet is go take a look on Summits website to get some ideas and call the manufacturer if you need clarification on anything. They are generally pretty willing to answer questions.
You will definitely want ceramic coated headers to avoid any rusting issues.
C G B'' Thanks for the info! I was thinking that maybe a mid 70s would work and am looking at some on the net'' I was wondering if they would work? just wasn't sure of the fitment on the starter side? plus should I be looking at block huggers'' or just a basic truck header...Thanks!
I dont think you will need block huggers unless for some reason the ones that are on the truck already are to make your exhaust line up. You also need to figure out what motor mounts were used as I think that is the major clearance issue you may have. If the headers will work on a 351, you shouldn't have any issue with starter clearance issues.
