Is that what you talking about? If that is it I don't have a part number
for it. I did get that from Ed.

I think that was the one I was thinking of.

Let me know what you think. Thanks
After doing some research it looks like this is the smaller bearing in the hub/bearing unit that the axle rides on. It only spins when axle spins (4 wheel drive).

I'm going to pull it off the truck and check it out, but I believe the problem is the main bearings which are not serviceable.

When they changed the axle size I think is when they went to a sealed
bearing for the axle support bearing in the unit bearing. That bearing can
be removed by taking the snapping out and then just remove the bearing.

Other than that you can't do any service to the unit bearing.

As far as I know it's the original.

So did Ford use Timken as the OEM?

That I don't know, I have used that brand for a long time , the bearing have seemed to last ( if greased properly), I didn't really look at the old parts before I tossed them ,I just replaced with Timken knowing they were good.

Well I went ahead and ordered the hub/bearing, I went with the Timken since that was what came out of it. I also ordered the seal kit, I beleive it's the same one Sean got, I got it from Ed at FICM repair, we shall see when it gets here.

Allready have those on the truck. If that's all this "kit" is then it's going back. The web site pic was very deceiving. Outer Seal Kit- Ford 5C3Z-3254-B

I need the seals and gaskets to seal everythig back up. I can reuse the studs.

Playing the waiting game now, I miss driving it allready. Putting the trickle charger on it while it's sitting.

The dust seals are not in that kit if I recall correctly.
It has all the consumable parts that you need if your
pulling an axle.

Got some parts in. The kit i got from FICM repair is very complete, even has the knuckle seal that can go for more then the cost of the whole kit.

A few pics.

The part# of the kit.

That is a nice kit. Nothing like having all the parts you need for the job at hand.

Yes it is. I couldn't believe it had the knuckle seal in it. I wasn't going to change it out but it really needed to be done since i didn't replace it when i did the ball joints a few years ago.

Tomorrow I'll know if this was the source of my noise.
