Thanks Chief, and Hugh, it was a lot of work to get done in two days, but very satisfied with the outcome. A little fine wet sanding, and I think it will be fine.

Chief, my issues used to be remedied with a HOT shower, and lay flat on my back. That would allow the muscles to relax, and most times back to work the next day. Hope you feel better soon.

Got a little bit of wet sanding, but at least I can start putting her back together now.
Hey! That looks real good, I just finished painting the one I'm working on too and now have a ton of wet sanding to do before polishing..

I got my new long long term project today. We found 8.5 acres in Jasper county close to Lake Jackson that we are going to buy. Figure about a year to get it cleared and ready for the house. . Lexie wants about a 1400 -1600 Sq log home

Hugh, that's probably easier than moving to Puerto Rico. Good luck with it.

Does anybody know what, or where I could find some nutserts. I had three of the nuts that held the hood hinges to the front of the cowl break. You can see two of the holes in the picture I posted yesterday where I punched them out. Any help would be appreciated. Bob

Thanks Hugh, I may have to use these, but I looked at them the other day in the store, and they just don't look beefy enough to hold the hood hinges. I thought that I saw some on a TV program that were set with a bolt, and nut that would collapse the shank. I may have to tack weld the nuts from the outside, or look a little closer under the dash to see if I can get a nut and washer in from the inside.

If you can get to them from the inside. You could drill a bigger hole next to them and try a nut clip or spring nut. Or a blind nut. That what Ford used on my spare tire carrier. May be less destructive than tack welding

The place is coming right along Jacob.
Bob try a fasten-all store, they might have what you are looking for.

I had to call in sick today, no sick time so I lost a a day of pay but there is no way I could do anything anyway. Last night for over an hour I had spasm after spasm in my back. The pills they gave me at the hospital did little to nothing to help. After the wife iced it down it finally stopped. I have never hurt so bad in my life.

I have been laying around all day alternating between cold packs and heating pad on my back. I am going to take one more day off of work to make sure I am better. The wife went out and got me a brace too.

Hugh the land and log cabin sound wonderful. I always loved log cabins.
