Thirsty Thursday is here so grab a cold beverage and batten down the hatches if live near the strike zone of Matthew. My brothers are riding it out I guess. Praying nobody gets hurt!
I parked my dually last winter. I topped off the diesel with #1 mainly because it wasn't going to be in a heated shed. That is the only thing special I did. Never jacked it up up or nothing. I did start it couple times throughout the winter. Maybe three times total. I would suggest to see if you can have a neighbor come over and start it once in a while but if not I would not worry about it. You won't have any issues especially sitting in a heated garage. It's not like you are parking it for years. Only for a few months. Trucks like that sit on dealer lots longer then that. Haha
Thanks Troy...
I also sent an email to the Service Manager at my dealership to get his take on it...
They will end up with this truck in the spring most likely anyway...
I bought my '08 F250 brand-new in April of '09. Found out after the fact that it had a complete engine replacement a few months before I got it. They didn't disclose this to me when I bough it, so after seeing the OASIS report I went back to the service department to ask about it. Apparently had a sticking valve after sitting so long on the lot without being started.
This was a 6.4L engine, which of course is completely different than a 6.7L. I think you'll be fine parking it for six months, but having someone start it every couple of months wouldn't hurt.
Thanks Troy...

Sounds like a real fluke there.

No shutters here Cory. Only on the water, even then it is 50/50.
Good morning Dave! At least you are getting a taste of everything your first few months there. Haha. Hope everything goes good for you!
