The Illinois River flows from Chicago to St.Louis. Yes, I could take a boat upriver to my brother's house.

I was going to ask you what they carried on those barges that travel up and down the river there in the video you posted awhile back

Grain, coal, crude oil, about anything that would have shipped in large quantities.

Our power company has replaced the black dot on our meter so many times that there is now a glass cover that unscrews from the meter. LOL
