No. he lives 35 miles North of here.

He is still working and he was doing a job and needed help. The house that got the door was close by.

It's nice you have relatives close by, my 2 sisters are the perfect distance to me...a good 1000 miles...

It was just my brother and I. He use to live on a house boat moored a block from where he now lives on land.

Helped my brother install a sliding patio door this morning. Then it rained this afternoon.

Living on a house boat should have been cheap on taxes if things are the same down there ..

No property taxes on a house boat but he still had to pay slip rental to moor it. Living on a house boat was more of a hardship than anything.

I guess the mooring charges can be as bad as taxes, costs of heating might have been high too..?

White crap storm. He had to shovel the dock and to the parking lot where he parked his truck. Then broom off the boat of added weight.
