1995 E350 problem draining fuel tank, HELP

I need to drop the tank on my 1995 E350 to clean it (line was blocked). But it's got 18 gallons of fuel so I need to drain it first, Took off filler neck and still blocked from putting a hose in the tank to pump out. Disconnected 2 lines to the tank. Smaller one is apparently the return line and nothing much comes out of it. When I put a hand pump on the larger line (which should be the feed line) it to try and pump it out, it collapses the hose, won't suck any fuel. What's going on? How to I drain it?
Thanks.

If you can't get a hose in the tank with the filler neck off, then the only thing I can think of is removing the tank with the gas in it. The hose is probably collapsing because you trying to suck the fuel through the pump.

The lines I have disconnected are the quick connections 6 inches in front of the tank, not pumping thru anything. The tank has 15-17 gallons in it. At ~7 lbs per gallon, that's alot of weight to handle dropping the tank.

Spray the 2 tank strap nuts a few days in advance several times with PB. (There's a plastic anti-siphon screen inside tank end of filler hose. I was able to punch through it with a piece of 1/2" PEX. If not, put your siphon hose in through the vent hose, or just use the factory fuel line from sending unit. Blow 10-15 psi air through first to help clear some blockage and pump away. Put 2 cam straps (like the ones used to compress a sleeping bag-NOT ratchet straps) around the tank and over frame or something above tank. That way you can lower it down in increments.

No doubt it'll be heavy and cumbersome.

The cambuckle mechanism is much easier to deal with in this application than a ratchet strap.

Got the straps off and the tank dropped but not out. What are the 2 small rubber lines looping back to them selves (and going somewhere from a T) connected to the front and rear of the tank on the top? Coolant to warm the fuel or some kind of venting? No hose clamps on them and I tried pulling them off and couldn't then it started to rain so I quit for the day.
