I'm trying to Id my transmission. C5MP 7006 A 22DIF. from what ive found it may be an MX? Obviously not the c6 the guy said it was. Bought it attached to a seized 390 out of a 69 galaxie. Getting ready to install having bought components to a c6 only to see that it's not matching up. Putting it into a 71 F-100 changing from a manual 4 speed to an automatic for my daughter (I know I'm horrible). HELP?

If the Body is cast iron it likely is is a MX, FX, FMX. Ideally we need the ID tag info to properly identify the the trans.

It's an MX Cruise-O-Matic, it would not be installed in a 1969 Ford w/a 390. '69 390 would have come w/a C6.

So now you have to ask yourself, is the 390 from the 1967 Ford that this MX came in (see post 7), or?

C6 has 17 trans pan bolt holes, FX/MX/FMX Cruise-O has 14 trans pan bolt holes.
