Sounds reminiscent of when the 99 superduties came out. All the 4x4 came with 4" rear block, after awhile ford started changing peoples out to a 2" because they were too high. I wonder if history will repeat itself?
I remember that like yesterday. My rancher friend brought home a new '99 F250 Reg Cab V10 and had to have the blocks replaced to fit under the gooseneck. This is exactly how I feel about my new 250.
Kubota......Ford did not start changing out the 4" to 2" for customers. In mid-year 2000 all the new F250s off the line came with the 2" blocks instead of the 3 1/2. It was a factory change...the dealers were maybe doing it IF you asked them to. It remained like that for many years. All F350s remained on the 3 1/2.
Another thing to consider is if you get it dead level according to the tape measure, it may "look" lower in the rear, from the way the body is shaped on these new trucks. I say this because, from the above pics, this guy says his truck is level with the camper hooked up. By looking at the wheel well gaps in the front and rear, they do look the same, so it would probably be level if you put a tape to it, but to the eye, it looks lower in the rear. So if you want it to look level, you may want to keep the rear slightly higher than the front. I dont know this for sure, im just going off of what ive been seeing in pics.
I am just looking for an inch or so. 1.25" might be perfect. I want a little rake to the front, but still want a little larger tire.

They also had a TSB to change 2" to 4" on 250's for a while to compensate for sag while loaded or towing.
