Tire Fitment Question

How big of a tire can I go on my 2wd 74' F-250 with minimal to no rubbing when making sharp turns. It doesn't have a lift.

One of my friends ran 40 inch gumbo mudders for years on his with no lift.

... and that's why I ask.

31-inch tall rires is about max. Watch the wheel offset because if it is wrong then they may rub the radius arms.

I run a 265/75/16 on my 2wd F250. I would imagine that your '74 sits about the same as my '79. Mine measure out at right around 31" (30.8" I believe).

The 75 aspect ratio will be a little taller/narrower than if you went 265/70.

I have no issues but don't think I could go a lot bigger. It does look better than stock and fills the wheel wells nicely. Pic below for reference:
