Wraps have gotten popular and are relatively durable and easy to remove at time of resale. Just a thought.
My truck is coming with painted bumpers for the first time ever. Looking forward to it. Not sure about the huge Stainless plaque on the tailgate but it is what it is, maybe it will come off easily.
There is another thread on here about the tailgate. I linked to a F150 forum that shows some nice options.
Thanks for the link. I think I'll leave the Platinum sign alone after seeing this. My trucks white so it's not as bad as the plaque on the darker colors I suppose. Oh well scratch that idea! Thanks again!
As for doing the bumper in Line-x I like the idea of the durability but can they do it in a smooth finish?
Smooth-ish is how I've seen it. Not quite as smooth as the factory paint, but a lot smoother than I'm used to seeing bedliner. I'm no expert on this, but your local line-x dealer could probably explain it.
Texture on a Line X can vary from quite smooth to very rough. Watch an application video an see hoe they apply the final texture in a truck bed. They hold the spray wand very far away and create lots of little globs for texture. Before that the surface is pretty smooth. Like a bad orange peel paint job.
