Finally got fed up with my timing marks being so far off, so it was time for me to get a new balancer. What's it take to replace it? Radiator removal, puller, any other tips or things to look out for? Thanks in advance.

Loosen belts, remove crank pulley, use a puller to get the balancer off. Might have to remove the fan and shroud but the rad should be able to stay I think? Be sure to put some silicone on the inside of the new one where the keyway goes otherwise you can get a oil leak that's really hard to diagnose. Good luck.
I like to remove the radiator. Lots more room to work. See what you think yourself, it's not necessary. But it's easy to bang up fins, or even worse... Need to keep the crank from turning. M/T is easy, just put it in gear/reverse depending.
Good point on installation. A bit of RTV in the keyway channel is in the manual.
Just a little tip worth mentioning for when you pull off the old balancer. I was replacing seals on my 351m and used a puller purchased from autozone or oreillys. I removed the bolt and unknowingly the bolt had a washer that stayed on the pulley. Well the hole on the washer was small enough to keep the puller push bolt from actually pushing on/contacting the crank. Instead I wrenched as hard as I could and the tool fought itself and I broke a bolt that threads into the pulley, which is very unusual. I couldn't see the washer due to a build up of dirt and crud but eventually figured it out after I got a new puller.
Moral of the story make sure that you don't do the same thing. I don't consider myself a rookie either. It could happen to anyone.
