Does anyone know if the '95 F350s came with keyless entry? The reason I ask is cause a week ago after I got the truck running for the first time since I bought it I locked the doors one night for the first time before going to bed. When I came out the next morning I needed to get something out of it so I unlocked it with the key since I didn't get a key fob with the truck. When I opened the door the factory alarm went off and I ended up having to disconnect the battery to shut it off. I thought putting the key in the ignition and starting it would turn it off but it didn't.
So does my truck have keyless entry and if so what is the procedure to program a new key fob? If not why would it set off the alarm after unlocking it with the key?
If you read this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ry-adding.html
You will find a nice picture on page 2 of the under dash box you want to look for. There's also a set of instructions on programming a new key fob.
You can use the Search function to look for info on the alarm too.
my neighbor had a keyless entry in his truck. i think it was sedimentary and lawnmower. right through on window and out the other. i am glad he was mowing.
My '94 F250 ( bought by me in 2019 ) came with Ford RKE . Look for a box under the dash next to the steering column. I bought two fobs from Amazon. Mine programs by turning the key on/off seven times, then the computer locks/unlocks the doors to signal it's ready. Then push the key fob LOCK button, the computer signals it heard by locl/unlock the doors. Do another, if you want to.
Your year model may be different but similar.
It's in the service manual.
New to me 94 F250, only got keys but noticed a Ford security sticker on the back window. Gonna look to see if I have that box and order yhe fobs. Thanks for the info.
