Downshift problem 4R70W 1995 5.0
I have a 1995 F150 with 5.0 and 4R70W. The truck shifts great from a start but does not want to downshift when driving around. It will downshift when you press the pedal to the floor. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Does the OD OFF light and button work? Has the OD OFF button flashed? It may have codes stored that will help diagnose what's wrong. It takes a good scan tool to be able to read these, the auto parts stores that read codes free cannot read these codes. You need either a good independent shop or a Ford dealer.
