Does the fan work?
Does the diverter door switch from Defroster, to Vent, to Heat?
Or is it the Blend Door where it gets stuck and only allows the cold air to come through the system?
Thank you guys for the help.
Coolant level perfect.
Fan works on all speeds.
Vacuum pump runs till tank full.
Air switches on command to defrost, face, and foot.
A/C blows icy.
I think I will pull the blend control actuator behind the glove box and see if the arm rotates as I change temp ****.
Make sure this valve circled in red has a grey vacuum line plugged into the front of it (it's unplugged in this pic), and that the valve changes position when Max AC is selected. This will block water flow through the heater core for Max AC operation, if it's stuck it would cause no heat:
The vacuum line to the valve circled in red is hooked up. The plunger retracts when the system is turned on, either toward A/C or defrost. It retracts when system is turned off.
The heater core is hot.
The white box with the 8 pin(5 wires) doesn't seem to be moving when I change the temp ****. I assume this is the blender door actuator? Heater core cover removed. How can I test the electrical connection?
Plunger to the left of that move up and down as system is turned on. And door inside that it controls moves with it.
Removed white box on top of heater core(with the electrical connection). Took it apart. Cleaned grease from the prongs for the sensor. Plugged it in with the box in my hand and it now moves with the temp ****.
Problem. A few teeth are missing from one of the internal gears. Is there a rebuild kit for these? Ha Ha. I doubt it. Reinstalled and now door moves but it is chunky. (Because of the missing teeth).
I think I have this nailed.
Thank you guys for your help and fast responses!!!!!!
