no heat, help!

99 f250 4x4 7.3 superduty has no heat. A/c seems to work ok had similar problem last year and replaced heat control switch in dash. Same thing this year, a/c works fine but no heat when turned to red or heat setting. Blower works fine just blows cold air. Any thoughts on what may be sticking? Getting cold in MD and (excuse me but) Johnson goes full turtle on my morning ride to work. Any suggestions?

Check the coolant lines to/from the heater core. You might have something as simple as low coolant or a thermostat that's stuck open. However, if both lines are hot, then you have a temperature blend door or actuator problem.

Both lines are warm so how can I troubleshoot to see if it an actuater or blend door issue?

Check also the temp control on the dash----could have failed in the "cold" position which natually would affect the drive motor's position.

eBay has separate new motors and blend doors if that becomes an issue. I've used heater parts from a seller there, most notably the blend door because Ford sells you the entire heater core case---blend door by itself was just at $30.
