Wish U's had submitted the list earlier; contacted Carpenter and Obsolete, not impressed with the (knowledgeable)(?) tech support. I did not want to fall into my usual pattern by waiting until the last minute only to miss out. Considering the cost, I may be sore for awhile, but I feel good about the purchase.

Thank you Bill, I do appreciate the information!!

Received the replacement cable couple days ago and found a tag with some blurred PN, as best as I can determine it appears to be a C7TA-17260-?. I have been assured the tag is referring to the Ford Engineering I.D. number and the item I rec's is the C5TZ-17260-N. Researched the Master Catalog, Sec. 170, pg. 5, there is what is referred to as the Identification Number, and Service Number, and not sure if it indicates there's a link between the two?

C7TA-17260- is the ID Engineering number, but you're missing its suffix.

Here's a page from the parts catalog that shows ID Engineering numbers to part numbers, lots of different C7TA-17260-

Thank you Bill, the tag is blurred, regardless of how hard I strain these ole peepers, and the use of a magnifying glass, it is difficult to decipher as much of the ID engineering number as I had, the suffix is not readable. Appears not sure if the cable is correct for my application and have to rely on the seller's input; however, intend removing the original cable to compare as the final check.
Again, I thank you!
