Speedo gear?
Hi all,
Well I realize that when I change my speedo cable, I throw the old cable in the garbage without knowing that the new cable will come without the gear!! This is what happen when you don't know what you are doing!!
So now I am trying to figure out which gear I need.
My truck is a F100 1974 3 speed manual, SWB and the 9'' have a 3.25 or 3.15 gear in it!
Any help will be much appreciated!

Live and learn, and learn to not throw anything until I have the replacement part now!!!
I believe they are stock size tire, 275-60R15, this is what the truck had when I bought it 2 years and a half ago.
Number Dummy, thank you, I had the tag when I bought the truck, bring the 9 to a shop for inspection and they lost the tag!! I know that really sucks and the worse thing is they absolutely didn't do anything to fix it!!
So I will do some advertisement for this shop: Duro Transmission on Federal Highway in Delray Beach Florida.

C1DZ-17292-A .. Retainer Clip-Speedometer DRIVEN Gear to Speedo Cable-C shaped / Available from Ford and auto parts stores.
Did the new cable come with the rubber O-ring? Probably not, so you will also need this:
87036-S94 .. Speedometer Cable O-Ring - 11/16" I.D. / Available from Ford & auto parts stores.
If the rear axle tag is missing: AXLE code stamped on the 2nd line-far right of the Warranty Plate, riveted to the left door face below the latch.
