Ok, this is the 3rd f#$%Ing time I have tried to post this thread. Sorry for the language but I am frustrated beyond belief.
I am not going to write the whole story again.
it is a 1974 F600. I need to know which engine is in this thing. 4th digit of the VIN is an "E." None of the sites I've been to go beyond a F350. Can anyone please help me before I lose my mind.

From what I found on line (took about 3 minutes) E is a 331, and can be either a 2, or 4 bbl carb.
Appreciate the info. I still cant find a site that has the info you guys gave. Sorry I posted in wrong section. I saw F100 or larger & it is a F600. I've never had a truck this big. Don't know squat. Thanks again!

All the information you will ever need, including the warranty plate codes, will be found in the factory service manuals. These are multi volume (usually 4-6 volumes) and can be found online in CD form. I also see the original paper copies quite often on E-bay.
The truck edition covers everything Ford made that year from the F100s, E100s and Broncos all the way up to the LN series semi tractors and everything in between. It also includes gas, diesel, all transmissions, air brakes, etc.
The manuals are year specific.
If you're going to be working on one of these trucks, the factory service manuals and the parts catalogs will be the best investment you can make.
