2012 Transfer case, no drain plug?

I have a 2012 Escape 3.0 and I went to change the Transfer case oil and there is no drain plug? I do have a fill plug though. It looks like the factory never drilled and tapped for a drain plug. Has anyone else had this problem? See picture.

Correct - there is no drain. The diff also does not have a drain.
I recently bought this for $20. Works great for bleeding brakes also.
