Guys, I know this must be a stupid question, but I can't find the drain plug on my transfer case. I've found the fill plug on the back of the case, but I don't see a drain plug anywhere. Can anybody tell me where the plug is?
It's not a stupid question....there's only one plug.
One way to get the old fluid out is with one of those cheap plastic siphon pumps you see at almost any auto parts store. If you take your time with them, you can get almost all of the old fluid out without making too much of a mess...then just refill back up to the plug level with Mercon ATF fluid.

I know this is an old thread, but this post needs to be corrected for search purposes as I pulled this thread up doing a search for the same information. No disrespect to Rockledge as I'm sure that he'd agree.
The drain plug is behind the counter weight on the back side of the transfer case. Remove the counter weight to access the plug.
