OK so far found some of the interior trim at some local scrap yards stared removing the rest if the dash painting it as I'm going. Found a almost perfect dash pad!!!!!!! Woohoo. Now having issues I'm 2 phases one is the dash lights don't work tried turning the headlight **** back and forth and no luck. Any ideas? Second is a persistent leak it's building up and dripping off the bottom of the bell housing. Welcoming any thoughts. Putting it in the shop next week to get the bed rhino lined then just need to find a tail gate. Installed fog lights on the bumper and installed air horn to replace factory air horn. Trying to decide what roll bar I am going to install after the rhino lining is done thoughts? Also what brush guard to go with. Theme of the truck is frame is going to be John deer green (this is started) most of the dash will be John deer green and carpet will be the same.
It could be the actual dimmer switch that's bad. When I first got my truck I had to replace it because I didn't have any dash lights at all or headlights.
Another thing it could be is a fuse. I was playing underneath my dash today and found a socket that wouldn't come on, went to check it and shorted it out and blew the fuse. Now none of my dash lights come on. (Head lights still work with a bad fuse tho. Mine was a 5amp in the upper left corner underneath the flasher if you wanted to check it)

When you say "dimmer switch" is this the floor mounted one?
If so I can not see it fixing dash lights as ONLY the head light power goes thru it. The dimmer switch has one power wire in and 2 out and only switches the out put between the 2 out put wires for high or low beam.
Now replacing the main head light switch can fix dash lights.

Yes, by dimmer switch I meant the switch that you turn to control the dash brightness, not the hi low beam switch on the floor.
Might be worth a fuse check first still. It would be a much easier and cheaper fix. (Not that the main headlights control switch is all that hard either.)
Hope it's an easy fix like one of these, good luck.
There is a fuse in the box just for the dash lights. And another for the exterior running lights. If the exterior running lights fuse blows, the dash lights will not work either.
OK this is fixed I pulled the old light switch control it was trashed inside looks like it had been arcing or someone took a torch to it. put a new one in a now no problems been pulling it and checking it periodically to see if its arcing or whatever again have not seen a problem
