Exhaust manifold differenced
I decided to go back with cast iron manifolds for my 86 460 truck build, are there any years that would be a better design than others? Originally mine had the a.i.r. bosses that I later plugged, but the manifolds for the d3 heads do not have these. Would the earlier dove headed manifolds flow better or are they all the same? The only problem I could see is if they don't put the collector flange in the right spot.

thanks all, I guess best bet is using the 80-86 style with plugs and tubes for the air system, just leave everything plugged up. I just have one late 70's d3 manifold and although it's still restrictive, it's not drilled and tapped and plugged, it just seems like it would have less turbulence.
