Outside mirror location
Does anyone have dimensions to mount the small car type mirror for our trucks? Mine originally came with the large mirrors that bolt down the door but I like the smaller ones.

You mean type 5 instead of type 9's? Try to mount the new on to at least cover up the upper previous holes.

Looks like my original mirrors are type 8s, and I am installing type 5s.

I can say with 99.999% assurance that the type 7 and type 9 holes are the same, took my stock type 7's off and installed type 9's from LMC.

My '76 Highboy appears to have had the #5 mirror mounted from the factory, removed long ago. Hope this pic helps.
