Long drive
I'm moving and about to drive my 73 360 F100 220 miles. Any advice? I'm getting new tires and changing the oil tomorrow.
Thanks

A spare fuel filter cuz junk in the tank could get knocked loose....
Otherwise, you've done such a good job that she's pretty much dead nuts reliable, right?

Hardware integrity check.. like lug nut torque.
Check your spare tire.
Air pressures all around.
This would be an opportune time to determine your fuel mileage. Fill up before departing. Drive like a nun the first 100 miles and then fill up again. Post up your results.

Hand tools, zip ties, wire, spare belts/hoses, spare tire, jack, and a credit card (for emergencies not covered by the other stuff).
Double check U-joint caps. Simple thing to fix...unless you're 100 miles from nowhere.

Clean and repack the front wheel bearings, check the brakes while you're there.
Grease the u-joints
Check the lube in the rear diff.
Check hose condition/coolant level

220 miles? Shoot that's just warming up. Or did you mean 2200 miles?
I'd take a few gallons of water. Never know if it may get hot driving long distance at highway speed.
Spare belt possibly. Extra quart of oil / trans fluid. Spare tire jack and lug wrench. And a basic set of hand tools.
