2004 explorer U-Joint question

2004 explorer U-Joint question
So, I need to replace my u-joint, I've got the clips out, I've tried to press the heads of the U Joint out with a C-clamp, but no luck. anyone ever had to change one of these who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I changed the u-joints on my 2004 Aviator. I used a 6 ton benchtop press though to remove the u-joints and a bench vice to install.
Are you using the "c-clamp" intended for u-joints or a standard c-clamp? It would be tough to get enough leverage on a standard c-clamp. Also, you have an open access for the one side to extend in to, correct?
