4X4 auto shift conversion to manuel

I have a 95 F150 EB with the push button 4x4 shift. As you probably know the push button is a piece of junk so I am looking at changing it out to a manual shift.

Can you guys give me instructions on how to go about that?

I am finding lots of "talk" online, but not any real instructions.

Thanks Guys

All I know is that you have to change out the hubs. Start by finding some manual 4x4 hubs. Warn is a good manufacturer.

The hubs have nothing to do with it. He's asking about converting the electric shift transfer case to manual. You can have a manual shift transfer case and keep the automatic hubs.

I did this conversion. You need to swap out the transfer case for a manual shift one. You can't "convert" your existing transfer case.
As far as instrucitons:
Unbolt front and rear driveshafts from transfer case
Unplug wiring harness from transfer case
Unbolt transfer case from transmission and remove it
Bolt up the new manual shift case to transmission
Bolt the driveshafts to the transfer case
Peel back the carpet under the dash where the shifter goes (All trucks came with a hole in the floor for the transfer case shifter. The electric shift trucks have a metal panel covering up the hole)
Remove the shifter hole panel
Bolt transfer case shifter to side of transmission
Cut hole in carpet for shifter to poke through
Install shifter boot and ****
Hook up shifter linkage to transfer case
Optional: Plug in wiring harness to transfer case so the "4x4" lights on dash still work. There's a wiring plug sitting on top of the transmission that has a plastic plug in it. Take out the plug and plug in a small wiring harness. The other end of the harness plugs into the transfer case.
Also optional: Remove the shift buttons on the dash and either make a panel to cover up the hole in the dash, or swap out the dash bezel for a manual transfer case bezel (or a bezel from a 2wd truck).

Remove the shifter hole panel
The panel is glued down very well. Heat it around the edges with a torch and it will come right up using a putty knife to get underneath.

If you then lay the carpet back down and mark it with a sharpie or majic marker from underneath you can make a good cut.
