Hey guys. I have a 93 f250 with the 5.8. I was wondering if there was a write up or link for removing the engine out of these trucks. Gonna replace the rear main and oil pan gasket. Just looking for a good write up so I dont forget anything and a guide.
Both of those can be be accomplished without removing the motor. I did it when I had to replace the clutch, pressure plate, TO bearing, and internal slave.
As far as written procedures or a guide, I'll have to look at my Chilton shop manual to see if there is a step-by-step procedure. I have a factory service manual also, but not sure if it too has specific start-to-finish procedures.
Ok, just looked at my Chilton's shop manual and there is a step-by-step procedure for engine R&I, 60+ steps. It may, or may not be an all inclusive guide though.
