The driver's side sounds correct, do you have the slot in the cam adjuster pointed in the opposite direction on the passenger's side? If rearward pointing on driver's side you want the slot forward pointing on passenger's side.
Any possible way you installed the spindles upside down and on opposite sides of the truck? I am out of ideas, sorry.
I've i've tried every possible position on the cam adjusters I'm gonna show these three pictures one more time and then I guess I'm going to have to have it towed to a repair shop but The third pic I just took the cam out of the spindle and placed it up on the ball joint to show you where it stops the same place as it the spindle we're on at about a quarter of an inch before it would seat against the boot,if you tighten it down at that point then it just closes the cam and the spindle will not rotate and it doesn't close the gap at all,The second pick is it slid onto the old ball joint and as you can see it stops in the same place but if you look at the before pics I took before I dismantled it everything is closed up correctly,The first pic is the passenger side and the only thing wrong with that is the castle nut was driven way up past the cotter key hole and I had to shim it down in order for it to work with the cotter key I swear I think this thing is haunted nothing makes any sense

Reason: pics are backwards
I'm pretty sure you have the wrong castle nut. The Castle nut looks pretty short, there are only about 3 full threads holding it on, compare it to the one on the other side. I've encountered this before, use the old castle nut and throw that one supplied with it in the trash. The wonders of off shore parts.
I think you're right Matthew the other castle nuts a little bit taller after I've viewed my original picture thanks just the other side I'm going into another weekend with it like that very frustrating

Yes it is frustrating. I was scratching my head too the first time I encounter this also, so you are not the first.
And if you at look the nut they supplied, it has the just the bare minimal of full thread engagement so I would not use it regardless. Reuse your old nut and you will be good to go.
