My preference would be to replace king pins, front springs, all bushings, tires and probably steering linkage before having a shop bend it...or at least have a 2nd opinion on everything including alighnment before having things bent. Unless that stuff has been recently done, it likely needs done anyway. Hate to see you have it lined up only to need it re- lined up a short while from now when you find a bad bushing or that the tires rub the fenders when you turn a corner and hit a bump, etc.
351cleveland that's exactly what they said,i know they did balance the tires, the message they left me didn't say if they found anything else wrong, will find out in the morning, not knocking swab, just thought it was a little funny,
Any place I have ever had a front end alignment done would refuse to do it if any component in the front end needed work. Lets hope that's common practice in the industry.
pickup truck up today, they balanced tires, said it needed align, took it out on highway same problem, stop by local mom and pops gargage had tires checked, passenger front rim way bent, put spare on, drives great, how did swab not see that,
Film buildup on windows doesn't have to necessarily be from Armor-All, the interior materials - vinyl and plastics, carpeting etc "outgas" and cause this. Well known problem, PITA too.
i going to toss rim and tire,im sure tire is no good, never seen a rim so bent,i am going to check everything out,i didn't know the seller ,he never said anything about truck shacking ,i only tried it out city driving, too good of a deal to pass up,but man the 70 mile ride home got my arms tired, lol.what a work out,and that's with ps,thanks everyone,i will check everything out on truck.
