Title pretty mush tells it all, one day it work and the next day it didnt. I checked the 15a fuse and it was good. What else should I be looking at?
Thanks.
Fixed mine a month or so ago After checking fuses, brake switches, speed sensors, etc got a 14 dollar servo off a 2000-2003 Taurus at salvage yard Works great My X ia also an 01 Good luck Ken
I'm a little confused about your link, its full of more links? Which link specifically are you talking about?
Not even my cruise light works so does that mean its the switch I read about on the master cyl?
H1Z on my 01 X I changed the switch on the master cylinder and still had no cruise control Went to junk yard and got the servo unit off of a 2000 to 2003 Taurus as someone here recomended (Aaron Jones ?? ) Just had to change out the cable from servo to throttle body. Works as it should now Servo on my Ex is on passenger fender well Hope this helps Ken in PA
I went through the buttons test, checked the switch under the master cylinder..even replaced the brake light switch at the pedal. A mechanic friend suggested it was the servo at the beginning. He was right.
I found out about the Taurus servo swap just after buying a new servo from Ford...
I have issues with mine sometimes as well, I'm thinking I may have a short in my steering wheel switches, sometime it will work and sometimes it won't, I have to keep hitting the on and set to get it to engage. And once engaged the decel will not work.
