Josh, go ahead and put me down for a potato dish, hope everybody likes bacon, for the Saturday night meal. And as for the convoy out, I'm hoping to be on the water fishing at Badin lake by the time you're planning on leaving, so I guess I'll meet y'all up there. Give me a holler when you're leaving so I can plan to get back to the boat ramp, loaded and back to camp by the time y'all want to head to the range, don't want to miss that.
I think Josh went to look at a Jeep with a friend.
Correct. No I wouldn't sell my jeep. Though the price they are asking for them right now, well, it's tempting. I bought mine back in 06 or 07 for 15k, and I can get nearly that for it if I sold it right now, especially if I put the OEM suspension back on it, and really detailed it. Heck, the one we looked at and ended up buying was 7 k, the interior and exterior was in immaculate condition, and if the title wasn't salvage, the guy could have easily gotten 13-15 for it. The title killed him. But the frame looked fine, no rust and all components replaced from the damage pictures. It must have just been enough to total the jeep out. But ran history on it, and the body shop that flipped it did a good job of the repairs. Going to be mounting a winch on it this week for the trip.
No luck talking to a person about the condition of the lake and campgrounds. But, they do have a message that say's if the lake closes, or are cancellations, that we will be notified. So I'm guessing that we still have a place to go to this Friday
So I'll start getting packed this Thursday, after hitting the store for food and extras.
Josh, if your taking the Jeep and need a hand we can just meet at your place if you need us

I'm starting to learn that I always do things last minute. This week, i'd like to get the oil changed on the TJ and get the wiring fixed on the big trailer. Then get loaded up on Thursday night, at least the trailer and the jeep. If I can do that I'll be happy!
Haven't heard anything from that direction. A few days should see the water levels lower significantly.
Last year, we ran down to Carthage, on US-1\15-501 then took 22 or 24 out to the campground. Allowed us to stop for some hot dogs for lunch.
Got that winch mounted. checked his A\C pressures, and we knew the a\c was out, pressures didn't change, so not only is the clutch locked up, the seals in the compressor are shot.
I just got off the phone with the park, and they don't expect any closing of the campgrounds. Rangers are going through doing inspections right now, and clearing tree's and lots.
If there are any cancellations we will be notified asap.

Thanks for checking on that for us Bob, good call.
