Hello, I'm new to this side of the site. I'm interested in buying a 2001 f150 that is lifted on 35s. I like the truck, but I'm not the biggest fan of the interior. Is there a way to swap out the dash out for a new f150 or a super duty dash?
Sure there is a way, all it takes is time, know how, and cash, and it will still probably look like crap.
Have you measured to see how the height, width and depth compare? Mounting points would be totally different. Airbag issues, electrical issues, gauge issues, computer issues etc.
If you like the new dash, get one that comes with it.

The long answer is that the dimensions of the later trucks kept growing compared to the 2001. Because of that there isn't any easy way to make a newer dash fit and look good.
I owned two 10th generation F-150's. I'd say the interior is simple and utilitarian but it is very much dated. The design is typical of American cars in the 1990's. (Which is not good and is arguably worse than it was in the 1980's.)

So an American vehicle designed in the 90's has the interior design of a 90's vehicle? Go figure.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough about my point. The guy is looking at buying a vehicle from the 1990's (design wise) and wants to do something about the interior. I'm saying he can't but that I get why he hates it.

I think the exterior of the 10th generation F-150's was fantastic looking and its even aged pretty well. I still think they look good when I see a nice one on the road. The interior is typical of the 1990's and hasn't aged well. If it's been cared for it isn't too bad in terms of functionality, but it's dated. That's for sure.
My brother in law and father in law both have 11th gen trucks and I don't care for the dash or interior of theirs. My nephews both have 13th gen trucks and I don't care for anything about the interior or exterior of their trucks.

I thought the 10th generation trucks looked great on the outside. I also liked the 11th generation which I also owned. Inside and out I thought the 11th generation was solid. For the 12th gen trucks, I like the exterior for the most part. I hate the taillights and the tailgate. When optioned right they look good, but overall I prefer the previous model. Interior wise I think the trucks have only ever improved. I like the 13th generation inside and out minus the terrible seat leather and **** poor seat cooling.
