Will a 97+ dash bolt into a 91?
Tomorrow I will be completely stripping my 91 F150 down to get it ready for paint, and I'm really wanting to redo the interior, but am not a huge huge fan of the dash from that era. Does anybody know if I can put say, a dash from an 02 in it or will it absolutely not fit? I feel like the top of the dash is longer in the newer trucks, but just can't really remember

There is difference in cab widths. Plus the multitude of wiring .heat controll differences.
The 92-96 dash will fit with movement of mounting tabs etc. There will still be rewiring etc to do .
Go for it . I wouldn't unless going for a complete custom.

well I'm running a carbed 351 that has no stock wiring ran to it at all, I can handle rewiring the heat controls and I'm making my own guage bezel with auto-meter guages, so that's not too too big of an issue. i don't mind the 92-96 dash, so that's probably what I'll end up going with because I really don't feel like going through the hassle of building one for this truck. I'm gonna build one out of diamond plate aluminum for my 4x4, but don't necessarily think it'd be a great idea to do it in this truck. Thanks for the info though, I figured there would be some size differences in the cabs, but thought maybe there was a chance.
